At the 1987 EP (Electric) Off-Road World Championship in Great Britain, the Kyosho Ultima dominated the field, sweeping the podium. This limited-edition model, based on the Kyosho Works Team car designed and driven by Akira Kogawa, celebrates the 20th anniversary of Kyosho America. Featuring Works specification, gunmetal anodized aluminum parts, and carbon fiber components, this model combines a wide range of tuning and upgrade parts—including new components—to further enhance its dynamic driving performance. Along with its sharp, low-profile Optima Pro design body and modern R/C technology, the Ultima "'87 World Championship Spec" lets you relive the legendary driving experience of that era—37 years after the spectacular World Championship victory.

Special parts and unique colors make this limited reproduction of the 1987 World Championship winning model unmistakable.

Rear-engine 2WD buggy with excellent driving stability: high-strength aluminum monocoque chassis in limited gunmetal anodized color, combined with a newly developed hybrid carbon upper plate.

The Optima Pro body is known for its aerodynamic shape and comes here with a special Kyosho America 20th Anniversary decal set including cutting lines, matching the Ultima.

Large-volume oil dampers with titanium-coated piston rods for exceptionally smooth response and high durability. Ride height adjustable via a rotary knob. Damper caps and housings in Kyosho Works gunmetal finish.

Carbon fiber damper bridges are standard equipment and precisely transmit feedback from the road surface, ensuring maximum suspension effectiveness. On the original model, they were an optional upgrade.

The newly developed hybrid carbon upper plate is not only lightweight but also extremely stiff. Unlike the earlier Ultima, it can accommodate both standard and shorty LiPo batteries.

The aluminum engine guard is engraved with the 20th Anniversary logo, also anodized in gunmetal, and protects the engine in crashes.

The gearbox shaft and slipper plate are made of 7075 duralumin (aircraft grade). This reduces weight in the drivetrain and the entire chassis, and together with the HD final pinion, delivers improved acceleration and braking performance.

Ball differential for smooth steering and crisp acceleration – even on low-grip off-road surfaces. Many components that were previously optional are now included as standard.

Universal swing shafts efficiently transfer engine power to the rear wheels and reduce the risk of parts falling out after jump landings.

The moderate flexibility of the nylon-resin tail wing ensures high crash resilience. The large side guards increase downforce and are identical to those of the JJ Ultima.

High-grip soft compound tires at the front and rear meet rims in Kogawa's (Ultima Designer) signature peppermint green – exclusively for this limited edition.
